In the Kids stream, you will be taking a lead in helping children encounter God and develop a faith of their own from ages 2-11. St. Mark’s Kids is build around values of, encountering God, having loads of fun, building foundations of identity and helping kids to flourish.
Working with our Kids Pastor, Grace, you will gain practical experience planning and leading sessions, putting on events for families, organising and coordinating teams, developing your teaching skills, learning how to prepare curriculum and resources and more.

In the Operations stream, you will be working alongside our Operations Director to empower ministries and people. The internship will be varied and multifaceted helping the church fulfil it’s broader mission to see people find faith, be set free, and for the city to flourish.
You will gain hands on experience coordinating volunteers, managing systems and facilities, organising and putting on events, starting new initiatives, working with outside agencies, and more.
Our hope is that by the end of the year, you will have grown in your people skills, organisational and management skills which will equip you for employment in as a church administrator or business manager.

In the Social Transformation stream, you will be taking a lead in helping St. Marks reach out with God's love to those in our city who are living in poverty and experiencing deprivation. You will also have the opportunity to support us in finding other ways to join in with Gods' great project to make all things new, through, for example, advocacy or care for creation.
Working with Rev. Andy Clasper, who leads on this area of our work, you will gain exposure to the reality of poverty in the city, a deeper understanding of how addressing such issues interfaces with our faith, and practical experience of working with church members, volunteers and delivery partners to address concrete needs and reach out in friendship to those on the margins.
Our hope is that by the end of the year, you will have gained valuable experience that might help you take a lead on social issues within a local church context or even enable you to apply for work in a social enterprise or charitable organisation.

In the Production stream, you will gain practical, hands-on training and learn how to lead a production team and run Sunday services and special events. Throughout the year you will be involved in the process of organising teams, training volunteers, stage design, writing up equipment proposals, music production and more.
You will also have a work placement with Noiseboys Technologies as part of your year.

In the Media & Creative stream, you will be taking a lead in telling the story of St. Mark’s and reaching people with message of Jesus through creative media.
You will have a key role taking leading the creative team. Depending on your areas of skill the internship could have different emphasis but in a general sense you will gain experience coordinating creatives for Sunday services, leading creative projects taking them from concept to fruition, growing and developing a brand, communicating vision, developing skills in new areas, and more

Year 2 only
In the Church Planting stream, you will be part of a small team preparing for and enacting one of the plants St. Marks Coventry is involved with in the period ahead, as part of the Diocese of Coventry’s ambitious plan to create 150 new worshipping communities by 2030.
Working with a small church planting team, you will gain valuable insight into the challenges involved in planting, some of the approaches taken in facing these, as well as, gaining first-hand experience in a broad range of ministry areas. You will need to be flexible enough to turn your hand to lots of different ministry areas, and may specialise in one area, according to your giftings and the needs of the plant.
You will be supervised by the leader of the church plant and our hope is that by the end of your time with us, you will have gained familiarity with all that church planting entails, furnishing you with valuable experience should you wish to be part of a church planting team in the future.
